English Tutoring
Based in Rochester, Kent, I provide tailor made English lessons for 6-14 year old children, in a safe and positive learning environment.
After an initial assessment and discussion with yourself, I will plan a literacy programme based on your child`s strengths and weaknesses. A range of resources will be used including up-to-date computer programmes, textbooks and worksheets.
Together we will explore various styles of creative writing such as:
story writing
newspaper reports
letters
play scripts
Skills will also be developed within the areas of punctuation, spelling, grammar and handwriting.
How can I help your child’s reading to develop?
Through a varied phonics approach I will develop your child`s reading and build confidence in this area.
A good command of reading will help pupils in all other areas of the curriculum such as science and history and increase their general confidence.
