11 Plus Tutoring, Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham, Rainham in Kent … What is the 11+?
The 11+ is a test which children take in year 6, to gain a place at a grammar school, starting in year 7.
The Medway Test consists of 3 papers:
Maths - 50 minutes, multiple choice
Verbal Reasoning - 50 minutes, multiple choice
English - 40 minutes and also 10 minutes planning comprehension based exercise
Scores are standardized according to age so as not to disadvantage younger children.
The pass mark varies from year to year, it is determined by the scores the children receive and the top 23% are selected for an offer of a grammar school place.

I specialise in tutoring for the 11+ test in the areas of maths, English and verbal reasoning and have over 25 years experience with a high success rate.We will also work on exam techniques and time management and generally enable the child to feel more confident in a test situation.
The children will work on practice papers in these areas to develop their confidence.
My 11 Plus tutoring sessions cover Maths, English, and Verbal Reasoning and are available in the comfort of your own home in Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham, Strood and Rainham in Medway, Kent. Sessions are after school, either on a 1:1 basis or for groups of up to four children.
£32 for 60 minutes Tutoring, per student.
£60 for 2 hour courses are available during the summer holidays.
